OK Bryan so you want;

Dylan and The Dead from Giants Stadium on 7-12-87.(3 discs DVD)

and

GD MSG show 09-19-90(3 discs VCD) and the Phil and Friends 07-28-01(3 discs VCD)

With the Dylan and the Dead one that is a DVD and I don't have a DVD to DVD burner so I would need to take it to my friends house.

I'm interested in;

The last Grateful Dead show at Solider Field 07-09-95

One of the Dillion Stadium shows in Hartford, CT

and any show when Pig Pen was around. Preferably if Janis opened or something but if not that's cool. I need some pig pen video.

Do you have these?

I see you have Dylan and The Dead from Giants Stadium on 7-12-87. I'd really like to get a copy of that show as it was one of my favorite Dead shows I have ever attended.

I caught 2 of the Dylan and Dead shows that year , with the other being 7-4-87 at Foxboro. The 7-12 show was much better , and most heads agree that the 7-12-87 was the BEST of the Dylan and Dead shows from both 86 and 87 tours.

I remember they did a really rocking version of "Joey" with Dylan and it seemed like the whole stadium was rocking and vibrating ! Awsome show , especially if you are a Dylan fan as well.

I'd be interested in the GD MSG show and the Phil and Friends show as well. I have never seen or even heard Phil and Friends , but from just about everyone I talked to on the last Dead tout , they said Phil and Friends is much better than RatDog. So I am looking forward to that !

I have pretty much every Dead show that was not previously commercially released from '65-'95 on MP3 format. I'm gonna say it's roughly 400 gigs !

I got these about 3-4 years ago off a site called "Speeding Arrow". Has anyone heard of them ? Anyhow I scoffed up all the GD shows I could get , then I started downloading some Jerry shows. I got a little lackadaisical and by the time I went to log back on , the site was gone ! I really wished I had scoffed up thiose Jerry shows too , but I'm sure I will find someone to trade with.

One show I would really like to find is the Jerry show from 83 or 84 at the old Agora Ballroom in West Hartford. Out of about 10 or so Jerry shows I saw , I think this was my all time fav. I didn't see it listed on "Speeding Arrow" or I would have definately grabbed it.

Anyone have a copy of that show they'de like to trade ?

I wish I had the exact date of that show , and I think I may have even seen Jerry there twice.

I used to have EVERY ticket stub from EVERY concert I ever attended. I had like 36 GD stubs , 10 Jerry show stubs and some from Bobby and the Midnights as well. I let this woman who was down on her luck stay with me for about a month (long story). Anywho , one day I come home from work and she's gone and my strongbox (with my stubs) was gone too ! I had just had a big night at the casino the night before and I think she thought she was going to get the proceeds. Fortunately , when we were leaving , she went to the ladies room and while she was in there I deposited my winnings in my "account" at the casino. Needless to say she didn't get the money , but man I still wish I had those stubs (or at least made a backup list of all the shows I attended).

I had been meaning to frame all the stubs but again , got lackadaisical ! Remember "he who hesitates is lost" !!

Anywho Sean , I would be interested in the 3 shows I listed. Let me know what GD shows you might be interested in and I'll see if I have them (most likely).

I'd also love to get a copy of the 83 or 84 show from the Agora Ballroom in West Hartford if anyone has it. There is one other show I would really love to get. It was from the New Haven Coliseum from the 80's sometime. Bobby and The Midnights opened up for The JGB Band and at the end of the show , Bobby and Jerry got together and did about 3 Dead tunes at the end of the show. Great show from what I remember. Did anyone else see this show (or at least have a date) ??

And Jeff , I see that you have quite the extensive collection. Is there anything you are missing or maybe would like a better (or different) copy of , if I have it ? If so , just give me a shout !

Sean ,

I don't know how your post (reply) ended up before mine on the thread , but anywho...

I do have the final Dead show from Soldier Field.

Not sure if you know , but a lot of heads were not real impressed with the final tour from '95 (or the last show for that matter). I have never even gotten around to listening to it in it's entirety either. From what I have heard it is OK , but in all honesty I may be a bit biased as I am a huge fan of the Brent era (when I saw the majority of my shows). To me that was The GD's finest hour , but of course , that can be subjective , just like attending a live show. But I think you may* be inclined to agree , there was a certain "magic" that existed between Jerry and Brent , that I didn't really see with any of the other keyboard players (but again , I may be biased).

But I certainly understand wanting to have the last show , if even for nostalgic purposes.

As far as Dillion Stadium , I think I have that one as well , but a date would make it easier for me to find it (have a date ??).

As far as shows with Janis , I may have one , but again a date would be most helpful. In all honesty I do not listen to a lot of the earlier shows. Again , I have so many shows to choose from during the brent era , that I have really only scratched the surface of all these shows (and there are some great ones !!).

Not sure what the easiest way to do this would be. Is it easy to burn CD's in MP3 format ?

If not , maybe I could (or you could) get a small 2 gig USB drive. I could load on the shows you select and propbably add some more that either you select or even throw in some of my personal favs. I know it is VERY easy to copy and paste shows to one of these. I bought mine several years ago and paid about $20 or so at Sam's , but I know they have come down in price a bit. A small 2 gig could probably be had for $10 or less.

Or I could just figure out how to burn them to CD. Shouldn't be too hard , no ?? I think a CD could probably hold about 2 shows as they run about 300 KB or so. Let me know what you want to do !

Anybody else have a show they just gotta have ?

As I said , I have just about any show that was NOT commercially released , but some of these shows may have a tune or 2 missing as it was released on a Dick's Pics or something (yeah I know , but when these were available , they went to great lengths as not to violate The GD's policy of NOT trading previously commercially released material). As far as that goes , if anyone requests a certain show , please try and find out if ANY of the songs have been commercially released , and I will "cull" it from the show. I certainly don't want to run afoul of the GD's policies (and thus legal implications). Because some of the tunes (or even shows) may have since been released commercially since I scooped all of this material up off the net about 3 years or so ago...

And Sean , if you do run across any live FZ , i would be more than willing to trade any more shows you may be interested in. I'd also be interested in live Jerry shows (especially the Agora Ballroom show in West Hartford , I'm gonna say from about 82-84 sometime).

Bryan,

I'm sorry I should have been more clear in my original post. When it comes to trading video.......I prefer to only trade video for video. Video takes a long time to burn and can be a bit of hassle.

Also, I have so many outlets for dead and other music(sirius,pandora.com,gdradio, not to mention my job) that I'm not into really trading CDR's that much anymore.

I actually have the CDR audio from Solider Field already. I just though you might have the video. ???

Also anyone who has video of PigPen I would gladly trade it for anything above. Especially anything with Janis and Pig Pen together.

Bryan....however, if you have any JGB or Jerry Bands stuff I'd make a reasonable trade with you for some of the video in my list. Let me know what kind of JGB or Jerry bands stuff you have and I'll look it over.

Cheers,
Sean

Hey Brian,

I'd be interested in all those VCD's you listed above.

I'm pretty sure if it's on VCD it's cool to copy as long as it's not copywrited.

If it's on copywrited DVD then it's definately not ok to burn and copy.

So how about those VCD's you listed above(assuming they are video) for my;

Dylan and The Dead from Giants Stadium on 7-12-87

GD MSG show and the Phil and Friends show

Sean ,

I had better pass as these are copywrited. How did you get yours (and I assume they are not copywritten) ? Were they home made videos ? Question Confused
